Crafting Engaging Content

Content is the reigning royalty of the social media realm, and it holds even more significance for coaches who are looking to establish their expertise and attract their ideal clients.

Social media experts can’t stress enough the importance of creating compelling and engaging content that resonates with your audience.

Because content is the vehicle through which you communicate your message, showcase your knowledge, and build meaningful connections with your followers.

That is what we are going to explore in this section.

A. Understanding the importance of high-quality content

We know that this has been preached a million times before, but the fact that it has been only proves why you need to take this part of your social media strategy seriously.

When it comes to slaying the social media game, high-quality content is your ultimate superpower. It’s like the cape that sets you apart from the crowd and makes your audience go, “Wow, they mean business!”

Mediocre content? Well, let’s just say you’ll only be wasting time, money, and effort if all you ever put out is that!

Content is the heart of your social media that keeps everything else flowing and moving. But it has to be OHHH-SOME content if you ever want even just a single ideal client to notice you.

We’re talking about content that oozes awesomeness, grabs attention, and leaves your followers hungry for more.

Think about content as the red carpet to your coaching kingdom. It’s your one BIG chance to shine, show off your expertise, and build an army of loyal followers who hang onto your every word.

Whether it’s a thought-provoking blog post, an eye-catching infographic, or a hilarious video, quality content is the VIP ticket to winning hearts, minds, and clients.

But hey, it’s not just about impressing the masses… it’s about hacking those tricky social media algorithms too.

Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter have raised the bar and are now favoring top-notch content that keeps users engaged and coming back for more.

So, ditch the dull and flavorless stuff and bring your A-game. Get creative, inject your personality, and deliver content that’s as addictive as your favorite guilty pleasure TV show.

Remember, quality content is the secret sauce that elevates your social media presence from “meh” to magnificent.

So, go forth, unleash your creative powers, and create content that knocks everyone’s socks off, and conquering the social media world will be easy peasy.

Til next blog…

B. Defining your content strategy and themes

Okay, first things first, let’s be clear in understanding that your strategy would always depend on YOUR business and YOUR audience. Yes, we’re echoing the most common advice from gurus and guru-wannabes.

But of course, it doesn’t mean that you can’t follow what others are doing. Remember, success leaves breadcrumbs so whatever others are successfully doing can be used to “guide” your own strategy.

Now that we have that out of the way, let this be your “guide” to help you create your social media strategy.

Now, if you want to create content that makes your audience go, “Holy guacamole, this is exactly what I needed!” then you need a game plan. And it starts with defining your content strategy and unleashing your thematic awesomeness!

Step one: Understand your audience like a mind-reading ninja.

Yes, it all starts with research (as with everything in marketing – ooooh, that rhymed!).

Get inside their heads, decode their desires, and tap into their pain points.

What makes them tick? What keeps them up at night?

The more you know, the better you can craft content that grabs their attention and hits them right in the feels.

Step two: Unleash your themes like a wild beast on the loose.

Not kidding, but themes are game-changers! They help you narrow down your content topics and easily create content that gets your audience hooked and engaging.

So how do you find out what themes to use?

Simple. Look into your own business and find out the areas that you help your clients with or the things you are mostly asked about.

What are the key topics that light your coaching fire?

Is it empowering mindset hacks? Life-changing productivity tips? Or maybe it’s unleashing the superhero within?

Whatever it is, define your themes and make sure they align with your coaching niche.

Themes help you with being consistent and sharing posts that hit home with your audience.

Consistency is key, friends. Your audience wants to know what to expect from you, so don’t leave them hanging like a cliffhanger episode.

And remember, content is all about value, baby!

Whether it’s practical advice, jaw-dropping success stories, or kick-ass motivational quotes, make sure your content serves up a delicious dose of value with a side of your unique coaching style.

Spice it up, keep it fresh, and sprinkle some of that magical you-ness in every piece of content you create.

The journey to epic engagement starts with a killer strategy and themes that make your audience go, “Yaaaasss, this coach gets me!”

Okay, so now you know what the key things are that have the greatest impact on your content and your social media strategy. In the next section, we’ll be discussing the next step you need to take to make sure your strategy is on point… and that is planning.

C. Creating a content calendar and scheduling tools

Do you know what the dynamic duo is that’ll save you from the chaos and keep your social media game strong?

It’s the perfect marriage of content calendars and scheduling tools!

That’s right. We can’t stress enough how vital content calendars and scheduling tools are. But all you need to understand is that without these, your life in social media world will pretty much feel like social media hell.

So, first things first, let’s talk about the content calendar.

Think of it as your own personal superhero headquarters, where you map out your content master plan. This bad boy helps you stay organized, ensures a consistent flow of mind-blowing content, and saves you from those dreadful last-minute content meltdowns.

With a content calendar, you’ll be slaying the social media game like a boss.

And then there’s the scheduling tools, the Robin to your Batman.

Hootsuite, Buffer, and their trusty companions help make your life easier. These tools allow you to schedule your posts in advance, so you can set it and forget it (well, not completely forget it, you still need to engage with your adoring fans).

But isn’t it awesome when you don’t have to get scrambling every day trying to think of what to post and then worry if you don’t stay consistent? Believe us, we’ve been there.

So, say goodbye to the stress of daily content creation and hello to the freedom of focusing on what you do best… coaching like a rockstar.

Having a content calendar and a scheduling tool helps you stay organized and stress-free. No more last-minute scrambles or panic-inducing content gaps.

We suggest using tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, Notion, and the like to create your content calendars and schedule your posts. Or you can go the trusty traditional way and use Google Sheets and the built-in schedulers of the different social media platforms.

So, you know the first things to consider and do when you’re creating your content. Now, let’s get to actually knowing what to do to make sure you’re only sharing QUALITY content…

D. Tips for creating engaging and shareable content

If you want to create content that makes your audience go “Wow!” and hit that share button like there’s no tomorrow, here are a few tips to help you level up your content game…

1. Be authentic

Not just trying to hype you up, but being authentic really is a big deal in social media right now.

Remember when we said that platforms are favoring quality content recently? This means that they want people to be more “human”, meaning more authentic and not just robots or mindless zombies posting random stuff and promoting stuff to get sales.

They want you to show your personality, share personal stories, and let your genuine self shine through.

The thing is, people on social media platforms are so fed up with posts that don’t give them anything of value.

Right now your audience craves that genuine connection, so don’t be afraid to share personal stuff and quirky anecdotes and show them what makes you uniquely awesome.

Authenticity is the secret sauce that’ll make your audience fall head over heels for your content.

2. Use visuals

Humans are visual creatures, so incorporate eye-catching images, videos, and graphics to enhance your content’s impact.

Did you know that there are over 1.62 Billion users on average that visit Facebook every day?

That’s about under a quarter of the entire world population who are daily active users!

And on Instagram, there are over 500 million daily active users interacting with various media on the app like photos, videos, Instagram ads, etc.

This is according to Facebook and Instagram’s parent company, Meta.

But that’s not all. According to Oberlo, there are more than 200 million small businesses around the world using Facebook.

But what does this mean and what does this have to do with what we’re talking about here?

Well, if there are that many active users on social media platforms and there are that many businesses competing against each other for a single second of attention… that means you need to be among those who can immediately grab people’s attention.

And the first thing that people will see that’ll determine whether you’ve caught their fancy or not are your visuals.

…. get creative, get bold, and get ready to dazzle your audience with a visual feast.

But of course, make sure you are on brand as well so you’re consistent and so people will easily recognize your brand whenever they see your posts.

3. Spark conversations

This is actually the real gauge of whether your content is engaging, adds value, or is quality enough… when they spark conversations.

But how do you do this?

Ask thought-provoking questions, encourage discussions, and respond to comments to foster engagement.

Be the life of the social media party and respond to comments like the charming soul that you are. It’s all about building that sense of community and making your audience feel like they’re part of something truly awesome.

4. Keep it concise

This actually depends on your niche or industry because there are some industries that thrive on long-form content, while others do better with concise and short formats.

But we don’t want to discount the fact that attention spans nowadays are shorter than a squirrel on a caffeine rush. So make sure your content is concise, punchy, and easy to digest.

Think bite-sized nuggets of brilliance that pack a powerful punch and that’ll get your message across with impact, leaving your audience craving more.

But if it is really necessary to make your content long, then make sure your visuals game is ace. And don’t forget to have a very catchy hook at the start of your captions or on your graphics so you can grab people’s attention.

5. Add value

We know what you’re thinking…

You’ve heard and read about this a million times and you understand what value means, but…

… what the heck does “add value” or “give value” mean anyway?

Well, adding or giving value is subjective. And it may look different to us or to everyone else.

Here’s the best thing we’ve learned about how you can give value to your audience… know and understand your audience. Because when you understand what truly gets them, then you know what to give them that they’ll truly appreciate.

But what types of content usually add value?

You can share practical tips, actionable advice, and inspiring insights that your audience can’t resist. Give them that “aha” moment and make them wonder how they ever survived without your wisdom.

Be the guiding light they need on their journey, and watch as they rally behind you, cheering for more.

The Short

With these strategies in your arsenal, you’ll be creating content that grabs attention, sparks conversations, and gets shared like wildfire. Your social media presence will become a force to be reckoned with as your audience eagerly awaits your next captivating post.
